The facility is neat and clean. The staff is pleasant, positive and helpful. They take great care of the animals. They offer pet classes using positive reinforcement which I love. Classes are inexpensive and help build a bond with your pet.

Hands down, one of the best NO KILL shelters in the country - especially since they hired a fantastic new Director of their Behavior and Training dept! Wonderful community involvement and rescue which seems to continue to expand- from Sonoma County to the entire State, and Mexico. Will perform lifesaving medical procedures on animals that were ready to be euthanized elsewhere! These animals become some of the most coveted adoptees! Extensive volunteer program with well over 500 volunteers. Also fantastic KID'S CAMPS, mentoring programs and the Forget Me Not Farm- for special needs, underserved and troubled kids.

The shelter is very clean and the animals are well taken care of. The staff I have interacted with are very friendly and helpful for the most part, and you can tell they are passionate about their jobs. However, I understand that they are trying to provide safe homes for the animals but the screening process sometimes seems rather unreasonable. It makes me feel like animals living in the shelter are missing opprotunities to go to loving homes because the screening process is so strict. But, you can tell this shelter really cares about the animals so I guess its better than adopting out pets to anyone without screening at all.

If you have to surrender your cats- this is the place! Nice kitty accommodations lots of helpful volunteers!

The veterinary services here are very reasonably priced and everyone is very friendly and helpful
